Wor James J White, one of the cornerstones of Lenexa Lodge, has been called by the Supreme Grand Master.  The designs on his trestleboard are complete.  Wor Jim passed peacefully in the night late Tuesday evening.  We have lost a great friend, Masonry has lost one of its greatest proponents, and the Supreme Grand Master has a new Greeter at the gates.

Wor Jim’s visitation will be from 5 to 8 PM on Monday, March 22nd at the Asbury United Methodist church at 75th and Nall.  Masonic and Scottish Rite services will be held starting at 7PM.  His funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 23rd with internment at the National Cemetery in Leavenworth, Kansas.

On Saturday May 1 at 2:30 there will be a Masonic Unity celebration.  It will be held at Mt. Moriah Masonic Mausoleum, 10507 Holmes, Kansas City, Missouri. The gathering will last about an hour. Members of all Masonic bodies are welcome along with any non-Masonic guests you wish to invite. Representatives from many of the Masonic bodies from Missouri and Kansas will be in attendance. The ceremony will cover the visions of the various Masonic bodies and their role in the next decade as builders of men, women, buildings and society as a whole. The unity and cooperation of our orders will be on display and reaffirmed.
